Okay, maybe “outrage” is too strong a word, but when I saw the title of this New York Times opinion piece—“Adults Should Read Adult Books”—my first reaction was something like this. It’s no secret that I love young…
the lit student in me throws stuff when i read pieces like the original article referenced here where people judge books solely on where they are shelved in a store and not on any actual knowledge of the writing style contained in the books. There is also something DEEPLY disturbing about the fact that he finds a guy reading Harry Potter on a plane more embarrassing than watching porn on a plane.
